Here is a list of a few of our favorite races happening in Salt Lake City this fall. There is something for everyone, so grab a running buddy, and maybe even a Halloween mask, and get to the starting line!
The Utah Marathon
5K, Half Marathon, Full Marathon and Bike Tour!
Date: Oct 13, 2012
The first ever Utah Marathon will be a fantastic event with beautiful views of SLC! The course is challenging and rewarding. This rae is part of the Fittest State Festival! Utah has been named one of the fittest states in the nation in the past few years and we are going for it again! This is a great event for all levels of fitness because there are so many events happening. They even have a fantastic family deal where if someone in the family signs up at full price, then EVERY MEMBER of the family can register for $10 each! That is a FANTASTIC deal. There is no reason why the whole family shouldn’t get together on this one. The Crazy Legs 5K looks like a really fun event as well. Runners can put on their craziest socks, tight, pants, shorts, and run wild!
The Haunted Half
Half marathon and 5K!
Date: Oct. 20, 2012
A seriously awesome half marathon with costumes, spooks and games all along the way. It is a gradually downhill course starting in Emigration Canyon, and ending at Memory Grove. Runners pass three grave yards and have the chance to bob for apples, trick-or-treat, and eat donuts. There are lots of fun activities along the way and a pumpkin patch at the end! Winners of the race get to smash pumpkins!
