This presentation is designed to familiarize the group with the sport of running/walking, and send them home knowing what type of shoe they need. We will cover critical running basics, including shoes, training, and tips for getting started. We will also individually fit each participant for a pair of running shoes. The participants will be able to take their “shoe prescription” to any Salt Lake Running Co to pick out their shoe of choice.
This presentation covers the basics of running related injuries and more importantly, how to prevent them. We will lead the class through a 45 minute foam rolling clinic where they will learn how to use the foam roller to prevent and rehab injuries.
This presentation teaches runners all about proper running form and biomechanics. We will discuss what good running form is, and how to develop more efficient form. We will also address possible weaknesses and imbalances in musculature and how to strengthen the running body for greater efficiency.
