Cashier

The Cashier is where the customer finishes their journey through the SLRC award winning experience. As an important member of the SLRC team, your job is not just transactional, but has many components of customer service built in as well. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, answering phones, responding to a wide variety of customer inquiries, welcoming customers into the store, running sales transactions and helping to ready the sales floor for business. You love people, are positive, a quick thinker, good with technology, hard working and are excited to connect with the staff and customers in as many ways as possible.

Sales Floor Associate

Our sales team is the heart and driving force behind the customer interactions at SLRC. Assistant Sales Floor Manager SLRC Centerville

The Sales Floor Manager plays one of the most critical rolls in the day-to-day success of SLRC. Your number one priority is the success of your sales floor  – making sure your team has the training and tools they need to deliver the best retail experience possible. You are efficient, organized, empowering, and are an exceptional problem solver. You are able to deliver and succeed even in the most difficult situations.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years retail sales floor experience in a specialty environment, preferably outdoor or running industry 
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or an additional 1 year of industry experience.  
  • Prior experience managing or training associates 
  • Clear understanding of retail sales tactics and top-notch customer service
  • Available to work 40 hours/week between the hours of 8am-8pm Monday-Saturday
  • Available to work at both SLRC Centerville and SLRC 700E locations
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment

SLRC EMPLOYEE APPLICATION

Sales Department Manager

As the Sales Department Manager, you will lead the SLRC Sales Team and manage the processes to achieve key organizational objectives. Your role is pivotal in aligning assets, building the brand, connecting with customers, and driving sales. You will oversee all aspects of the customer experience, coordinate the SLRC Trainers and sales floor training program, and supervise Sales Floor Managers and Assistant Sales Floor Managers across all SLRC brick-and-mortar locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the SLRC Sales Team is fully trained and that training is relevant and effective.
  • Coordinate and lead SLRC Trainers.
  • Lead, manage, inspire, and hold the Sales Team accountable for achieving sales targets and adhering to SLRC’s business practices.
  • Directly supervise Sales Floor Managers and Assistant Sales Floor Managers, empowering, coaching, and delegating as appropriate.
  • Assist with planning and conducting monthly staff meetings.
  • Oversee every aspect of optimizing product sell-through.
  • Manage SLRC’s presence and participation in Special Events, such as Expos, Corporate Fittings, and Sales.
  • Assist the Operations Department with product flow, inventory counts, supply needs, and IT issues.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of retail experience in a specialty environment, preferably in the outdoor or running industry.
  • Master’s degree OR Bachelor’s degree plus an additional year of industry experience OR High School diploma plus an additional 2+ years of industry experience.
  • Prior experience managing and training sales associates.
  • Available to work 40 hours/week between the hours of 8am-8pm Monday-Saturday
  • Available to work at all four SLRC Locations
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team environment.

The Perks

  • Starting wage of $25.00-$26.00/hour, depending on level of management experience with future opportunities to grow to salary of $55,000-$60,000 annually
  • Performance Incentives (sales incentive pay and manager bonus)
