Nick’s Testimonials

I signed on to Nick’s training plans on January 1st, 2017. It must have been an omen since I had a New Years resolution to adjust my training plan for an upcoming Boston Marathon.  My previous training was adequate for distance but too many repetitions of the same workout. Additionally, I was injured the last five weeks before Boston in 2016 and didn’t enjoy walking a portion in front of thousands.

Nick formulated a plan that mixed a weekly variety of speed workouts, tempo runs, a build up of long runs as well as some easy recovery days. The speed portion was a new challenge and difficult at first. With time, I hit goal times and felt faster with improved strides. The speed helped me to two consecutive PRs in January and February.

I went into Boston with confidence and pain free. The schedule was challenging but didn’t damage my 59 year old body. I missed a PR partly due to the heat of the day but happy to have gone through a three month plan injury free and running again the first week back. I did carve 40 minutes off my time that day.

I recommend Nick for both beginners and people with several half or full marathons. He’s an accomplished runner but knows how to coach someone to achieve a personal best-at any age.
