Motivation comes in many forms. I often find motivation by strange and unexpected means. I have bought entire new outfits before races, written my friend’s name on my leg, listened to my favorite song on repeat during a race, and many more random acts of desperation to get me to that finish line. Whatever your potion, use it and abuse it.

About 6 months ago, we started carrying Bondi Bands.  These simple headbands are so versatile in their functions! They wick sweat , they keep your hair and sweat out of your face while you are working out, they keep your ear buds where they need to be, and they even warm your ears while you run in the cold.  They can be folded to be whatever thickness you desire and they are so light-weight, I often forget I even have mine on.  Because they are so light, you can wear them inside or outside without fear of over heating. Some styles even have cute/motivational images or phrases on them!

I had seen them at races on people’s heads, and at expos, but I hadn’t had a chance to try one out. I finally got my hands on one and I instantly fell in LOVE with it. Without cutting of circulation to my brain, it didn’t slip off!  I have bangs and it really cut down on the amount of grease in my hair and bangs after a run/ride.

Mine had lightening bolts on it. I might have an unhealthy obsession with lightening bolts…but they certainly motivate me to send more power to my legs, to push through the pain and the limits I set for myself. I love love love it. That is a lot of love.

They make ones that say “dig deeper” “one tough cookie” or “wanna race?”. We have a bunch at our stores that are sure to make you smile. They don’t all have pictures or phrases, some are just plain. Men AND women wear them! True story.  And for $10, I can’t think of anything I would rather have caressing my head while on a run.

And, if you’re one of those people-loving humanitarian types, you will be happy to know that Bondi Bands donates 10% of all it’s profits to the Dana-Farber Cancer institute. And, for all you Americans out there, all Bondi Bands are proudly made in America!

Thanks Ally for being our Model!
