Park City Miner’s Day 5k & Bark 5k
September 4 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Put on your runnin’ shoes and grab the dogs. The Miners’ Day Bark City 5k is back! It’s a great way to kickoff Miners’ Day morning. Register today. Thanks to Park City Twilight Rotary for organizing.
The Miners Day Bark City 5K is a fundraiser with a portion of proceeds going back local animal rescue organizations. Dogs receive a goody bag and all finishers receive a medal.
The course is well marked and the event is self-timed, so be ready to throw down your fastest 5K or just have a great time jogging or walking with friends and family. Dogs on leash and in costume are welcome and encouraged! Strollers are OK and will start behind runners.
Immediately following the race we’ll make our way up to Main Street for the world-famous Running of the Balls. The Miners’ Day parade follows immediately after the Running of the Balls and then we’re back to City Park for live music, food, drink, and kids’ games.
The start and finish are located in City Park next to the Miners Hospital. The course is an out and back along the historic Rail Trail and there is an aid station at the turn point. There will be water and treats for our four-legged friends at the aid station and finishers’ tent.
