Description
Manage our Accessory department in 3 retail store locations throughout the entire product life cycle.

Objectives
Develop and execute strategic opportunities to maximize profits through margin enhancement and identification of new opportunities. Curate consumer demand, determine what our customer wants and understand our market. Build our brand, connect with customers, and move the company forward.

Shift
Part Time position  w/ full time option in Operation or Sales department position
Monday – Friday  (shift can vary)
Some Saturdays may be required (sales floor, events, expos)

Pay
Hourly + Benefits (401k, insurance reimbursement, PTO) with full time hours
Pay depends on level of experience

Responsibilities
– Manage all aspects of accessory products for 3 store locations
– Monitor product performance through sell-through analysis, inventory turn and profit margins
– Build and place orders with vendors
– Maintain appropriate inventory levels of product  to ensure proper turns and profit margins
– Develop sensible product mix within each category to meet customer demands and expectations
– Adjust buying to meet current and future market demands
– Record vendor discount policies and programs
– Some travel maybe required for trade shows, industry events and training
– Attend seasonal vendor product presentations
– Place special orders for customers
– Work with team members to solve any issues that come up
– Provide feedback on training, ideas, solutions, contests, incentives and other programs
– Be committed to continuing education, finding best practices and have a forward though process
– Work as a sales associate on sales floor as directed
– Participate with store events and expo’s when needed
– Train and communicate to sales staff on product knowledge and how to sell product
– Maintain good working and professional relationships with sales reps and vendors

Qualifications and required skills
– Minimum bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a related field – provide transcripts
– Minimum 2 years in a sales industry or related field
– Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
– Worked within point of sale software or ordering software
– Must be a strong problem solver
– Be strong in math, know retail math, be analytical – what do the numbers mean?
– Manage time efficiently and effectively
– Be able to plan and organize work demands for efficient, timely and accurate completion
– Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
– Record activities through accurate and precise documentation for future reference
– Ability to spend extended periods of time working at a computer
– Engage with customers on a daily basis, be friendly, confident, knowledgeable and helpful – always
– Work with deadlines and have the ability to adapt and adjust in a dynamic, high pressure environment
– Leadership skills, an ownership mentality, competitive spirit and have high and positive energy
